Two people are facing charges after a pair of incidents involving Aberdeen rental company employees who were threatened with a weapon while retrieving items from an area home.

According to a spokesperson from the Aberdeen Police Department, over the weekend, officers were called to the 400 block of Hillcrest Drive, where 31-year-old Monica Lynn Taylor was reportedly armed and making threats toward the workers.

Police say that when officers got to the residence, they were met by three employees from a local company who came to fetch items, though Taylor was having none of it and pointed a gun with a suppressor at one of them while demanding they leave.

Taylor was found outside the residence on Saturday morning, arrested without further incident and was charged with first- and second-degree assault.

During a search for the weapon, investigators recovered a replica BB gun, and while Taylor was being arrested, it is alleged that 46-year-old William Christopher Fons became disruptive, and he too was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.

The nature of the pair's relationship was not disclosed by investigators.

No information about the pair's next court appearance was released by the police.
